All SOLARFILM products use modern materials and technology. Traditional model finishing systems that use dopes, enamels, fuelproofers (Varnish or two-pack types), sanding sealers, 'car cellulose" in spray cans etc. are based on entirely different materials. It is recommended that traditional materials are not used in combination with any Solarfilm product. Often the two system will not be compatible and may lead to disappointing results. Particular attention should be paid to the fuelproofing methods recommended for Solarfilm products. These methods are completely different to traditional methods of fuelproofing.

All SOLARFILM iron-on products are packaged with instruction sheets. Always read the instructions carefully. Most problems can be solved by careful study of the instructions. If you are doing something that is not mentioned in the instructions you could be causing problems for yourself sometime in the future.

 

Weights are given in grammes per square metre (g.s.m.). Where a range is given then the pales colours (white and yellow) are the heaviest and darker colours are lighter in weight.
